I think this game needs no introduction. Anyone who's ever touched a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES)/ Family Home Computer (Famicom) has definitely experienced the shooter game glory of Konami that is Contra. This is one of the true known classics that initiated me into the world of gaming during the 8-bit era, and anyone who needed to beat the game with 20 Lives knew the infamous Konami Code of "Up, Up, Down Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start" to get it! After that, it was a run 'n' gun game of survival, avoiding a one-hit death shot at all costs and getting what is arguably the best weapon in the game to lead you to victory... The Spread Gun!
Naturally, the most memorable theme for any Contra fan would have to be the first level's music - The Jungle Stage Theme!
